From October 18 to 20, researchers and physicians from NYU Langone Health join colleagues from around the world at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
This year, Kathryn A. Colby, MD, PhD, will be honored with the 2025 Castroviejo Award—the most prestigious accolade presented by the Cornea Society. This lifetime achievement award is given annually to a member whose contributions have profoundly advanced knowledge, research, and clinical understanding in the fields of cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.
As part of this recognition, Dr. Colby will deliver the Castroviejo Lecture, titled “Innovation in Ophthalmology: Advances in the Management of Endothelial Dysfunction,” during the symposium on Novel Corneal Treatments. The session will take place on Sunday, October 19, from 9:45AM to 11:00AM ET, in room W311E.
